Daybreaks new game was announced and it's Planetside Arena

When Daybreak said a new game was coming earlier this week, I was kind of hoping for Everquest 3, but my money was on a Planetside battle royale and it turns out I was sadly right. As a big PS2 fan I have high hopes, but I dislike the cost and I think it's going to kill the game and studio along with it. They've already seen massive layoffs as of late. The reason I think it's going to fail, it brings nothing ground breaking to the genre. Since Fortnite BR hit the scene and exploded with popularity, BR games have only worked if free with optional cosmetic purchases. With the base cost of $20 and premium cost of $40 this has no hope sadly.
