Notable Releases for the Week of May 18th

I am going to start covering notable game releases here on our website on a weekly basis. So let's begin.

May 20th

Neversong - Once upon a time there was a little boy named Peet who slept peacefully in a coma. When he opened his eyes, he found himself in a nightmare.
Thoughts
Looks like a beautiful Atmospheric platformer Adventure RPG, that totes some dark themes.

Crucible - Crucible is a free-to-play team-based PvP action shooter driven by the choices you make.
The surprise first release from Amazon Studios,
Thoughts
I wonder what sets it apart from the others in this genre, if it doesn't do that I doubt it will much have staying power in a very crowded and unforgiving market.

Observation - Observation is a sci-fi thriller uncovering what happened to Dr. Emma Fisher, and the crew of her mission, through the lens of the station’s artificial intelligence S.A.M.
Thoughts
Great looking, and fun puzzle based game that has you investigating what happened to your crew through the camera's and other devices of the space station itself.

Spaceteam VR - A chaotic, cooperative party game! Shout technobabble at your friends until your spaceship inevitably explodes. Attempt to follow randomly generated, incorrectly assigned instructions. Work together… as a Spaceteam!
Thoughts
Reminds me of a more party themed type of FailSpace. Sure to be good for laughs if it comes in at a reasonable price and you have some friends to play with it, grab it.

Space Haven - Embark on a space voyage with your ragtag crew of civilians in search of a new home. Build spaceships tile by tile, create optimal gas conditions, manage the needs and moods of their crew, encounter other space-faring groups, and explore the universe in this spaceship colony simulation.
Thoughts
Looks like a fun, space station builder, I am excited to check it out.

May 22nd

SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris - Enjoy seamless, action-packed real-time battles using a combination of sword skills, sacred arts, and your favorite SAO characters!
Thoughts
Steam still doesn't have a release date set, this is the date set for the PS4. I've always thought these games looked good, but never played them. I know they're very popular, one of these days I hope to the series.

Maneater -  Starting as a small shark pup you are tasked with surviving the harsh world while eating your way up the ecosystem. To do this you will explore a large and varied open world encountering diverse enemies - both human and wildlife. Find the right resources and you can grow and evolve far beyond what nature intended, allowing the player to become a massive shark, an apex predator of legends. Eat. Explore. Evolve.
Thoughts
Love the look and direction of the game. It's the new generation of Jaws. Can't wait to play it.
