The End of History Gameplay Review — A Wild Sandbox Worth Your Time

Today we’re diving into The End of History, a brand-new sandbox RPG launching December 10th. I’ve been playing a pre-release version for the last three weeks, and this game absolutely hooked me.

If you love Mount & Blade, Kenshi, deep diplomacy systems, faction politics, world-changing decisions, or chaotic emergent storytelling, this game is going to be right up your alley.

In this review, I break down the political system, nemesis mechanics, diplomacy, faction building, vassal management, technology trees, exploration, tavern quests, combat (the good and the bad), and the unique Chaos Meter that controls the stability of the world.

This is one of the most interesting sandbox RPGs I’ve played in years, and it powered a full four-week run in my Lunch Break series. There’s a ton of depth here, and I can’t wait to see what the developers add next.
